I’ve recently purchased beautiful pro-markers from Letraset, and they are a delight to use. I love drawing and illustrating little animals and other objects on paper, and I find water-colour a bit messy to use sometimes compared to markers. These markers give your design a little bit of a watermark feeling in the end if used correctly, and it’s just lovely!
These are the colours I use the most. The names are Cocoa, Pastel Pink, Amber, Duck Egg, Black, Yellow, Orchid, Mint Green, and Berry Red.
These markers have a twin-tip, meaning that on one end is thick like a normal marker, and the other end is thinner. The thick tip makes it easy to fill in large areas, and the thin tip is great for creating shadow by over-layering and depth.
A set of calligraphy pens go well with the markers for text or for lines. This is a Pilot set of three lettering pens, in 10, 20 and 30.
I also use a set of pens by Stabilo point 88. They are just average colours that you might need for any drawing. You can purchase this same set from this link.
You can check pictures of their store on their yelp page. This is the first illustration I drew using these products. I’m just a sucker for animals wearing clothes! The final result is clean-looking and makes it super easy for scanning later.
